The John Butler Trio has a new album, Grand National, coming out at the end of this month. They recently performed the first single, "Better Than," live on French TV show "Terata."
The April edition of Rolling Stone also has a feature on his JB Seed Arts Grant along with a cover CD of JB Seed artists. The CD includes a demo version of "Good Excuse" from the new album.
Esentially, The JB Seed provides grants to emerging artists giving them what they really need to implement their visions and support their endeavours so they can effectively represent themselves in the industry and become self sufficient. I think he has provided somewhere in the region of 66 grants at this stage.
As John Butler says, the JB Seed recognises that artists articulate our culture, represent our society and explore the universal human condition. I like it.
